I am using Vim's source via a Git mirror (https://github.com/vim-jp/vim) and it
would be useful to use a symlink ".gitignore -> .hgignore", instead of a
modified copy.
While git picks up the patterns from ".hgignore" in general, it appears to be
sensible to trailing whitespace in the patterns, which hg seems to ignore.
While at it, the following file (from "make test") is not being ignored
currently:
src/memfile_test
Regarding the Git mirror, I have been using the one from
https://github.com/b4winckler/vim before, but it has not been updated since
about three weeks.
Thanks,
Daniel.
