I dare to say that I do when mirroring the patches with good old wget :-)
The ftp url is still mentioned under http://www.vim.org/patches.php ("Official
Vim patches").

I was just writing a twit and I thought
I'll add a link, and I found out that twitter does not understands ftp
urls.  I actually use a git clone of the hg repo.

I'd like to have the patches as separate files. Mirroring them via ftp is a
simple, robust and convenient solution for me.
