I have often thought about refactoring certain parts. However I always
think, it's not worth the effort, since I fear the risk and it seems
like it's not worth the trouble, since you are already overloaded with
patches.

Why can't we make sure, that mappings only work on characters? Is this
because of <sid> and <plug> things?
