The following used to work in my Perl syntax file since a long time (re=1 and 
re=2), but now (as of ~ 7.4.75x) gives me error E66 ("\z( not allowed here") 
when I scroll over a text area containing matching text:

>> syntax region  perlHere  start="\(<\@<!<<\z([a-zA-Z_]\+\).*;\)\@<=$"      
>> matchgroup=perlHereLabel end="^\z1$"

I think this error might be correlated to the complains about the inability of 
re=2 to use backward references...

OS: Windows 7 64-bit, MinGW 64.
