No I meant git.

I have one working tree, which is a mirror of the git repository and at 
the same time, I am using this working tree for mercurial clone.

What I then do is run a script periodically, that updates the git clone 
and for each (git) commit, apply this commit to mercurial as well and 
push the change.

So if I re-add the .hgignore file, I have to tell git to ignore that 
file using .git/info/exclude (which I already use for ignoring the .hg 
directory).
