Please check this:
vim -u NONE -N
:new mybuf
:let b:myvar = 1
:set hidden
:q
:call setbufvar('mybuf', 'myvar', 2) | echo 'done'
I don't see the 'done' message. I can see it only when mybuf is displayed in a
window.
