I find a bug after ver Vim7.4.1491.
In 32bit windos xp.
Bug
Edit c:\windows\system32\driver\etc\hosts then cmd :w! error E212.
It's probably because your 'encoding' is set to cp936.
Try using utf-8.
Is 7.4.1491 the last version you tried or did you do a binary search in
the patches to find exactly the one where is started failing?
