I'm also seeing these warnings:

    "globals.h", line 371: warning: initializer will be sign-extended: -11111
    "globals.h", line 372: warning: initializer will be sign-extended: -11111

Hardly surprising since it's taking a negative value and implicitly casting
to unsigned.  But I don't know what the right fix would be, and I'm not
sure why it's not showing up on travis, other than the compilers simply
being different.
