I haven't looked at the code, but I'm not sure this issue is the one
described in todo.txt:
"gqip" in Insert mode has an off-by-one error, causing it to
reflow text. (Raul Coronado, 2009 Nov 2)
It looks to me that it is due to an inconsistency in Vim's
definition of the end of a sentence. ":help sentence" says that the
end of a sentence includes closing ')', ']' and '"' characters,
while ":help 'joinspaces'" does not include those closing
characters, just '.', '?' and '!'.
It looks to me that join commands such as and gq are not taking into
account those closing ')', ']' and '"' characters, and they should.

Gary
