Because I did not know that it existed. :) Great, you found me a workaround, thank you very much. However, the fundamental problem still persists. guiheadroom set to 80 in my case ensures that the bottom of the window fits within the screen; I can finally see the command line. However, the window still starts at the same position, too low and I am loosing screen real estate. All this should be calculated automatically; a user should not have to play with options.
