That doesn't make any sense, can you explain what options you actually tried? 'autoindent' obviously won't do that, 'smartindent' is somewhat deprecated and does stupid stuff like that all the time, and 'indentexpr' could do anything at all depending on what plugin you have or function you've assigned to it manually.
