Having
:autocmd QuickFixCmdPre helpgrep let g:grep_pat = getreg(":")
and running
:helpgrep BEGIN
g:grep_pat would always be empty. I would have thought that everything after
"helpgrep" is evaluated when the event triggers - in which case register ":"
should contain "helpgrep BEGIN".
