It is not that hard. The file simply provides some input to xxd and

I would like to add tests verifying the current behavior with regard to -c does not change, including error messages, except for xxd -ps -c0. My patch does change this (found this out with manual testing), thus I'd suggest you disregard the patch for now.

There is quite a bit of xxd functionality not tested at all. I might work on that as well.
