Well, one could fix it rewriting the history, however with a repository
that is cloned so often, it might cause trouble than it is worth.

That's what I thought in the past. However nowadays I think git is
actually pretty cool, once I understood the concepts. It's still often
black magic to me, but I heard people say the same about Vim ;)
