Thanks. That fixes the case I reported with
enc=utf32 or utf16. However, vim-8.2.69 still
crashes with:
$ vim --clean -c'set enc=debug' -c'py3 1'
or
$ vim --clean -c'set enc=euc-tw -c'py3 1'
which gives:
Vim: Caught deadly signal SEGV
Vim: Finished.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
