More people have had this problem and I've urged them to contact the developers of "screen" and ask them to fix this (it is _not_ a problem which is specific to MacVim). Since I don't use "screen" at all it's not exactly on the top of my list of priorities to get this sorted out. So...please contact the developers and let me know if you get an answer (it doesn't seem like anybody has tried this so far).
