Makes perfect sense to me now, thank you!

Is there a happy medium that could be used on the Wiki?

Xcode will not pick up changes to the Vim runtime files. Any time that
files in the runtime/ directory are changed, you must run "xcodebuild
clean" before the usual "xcodebuild".

Just a suggestion there.
