(Sorry for not being MacVim-specific either.) I use <http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=1678> for this, which works fine. (The names aren't saved with :mksession though, so for now I use a custom command to create an auxiliary session file for this. A real hack: <http://pastebin.com/m6290359a>.)
