Found a solution - had to buid a current version of wget from source and use that in my update script. The webhost is Debian Sarge(!) and it's native wget for some reason started segfaulting when updating certain files. The mirror is up to date as of now, and the update check works fine by hand. Bjorn I'd suggest waiting until tomorrow morning so it's completed a pass using cron too, and if it's still looking good go ahead and start using it again. Note I do think it's still a good idea to use that mirror. I do see Google kicking out bad files every once in a while.
