Hi Andrew,

This is no consolation, but it has been expected for some time now
that the hack that "Edit in ..." uses would sooner or later be
disallowed by Apple. Jesse Grosjean (the developer of WriteRoom) sent
me an email a while back saying that he started a new project called
QuickCursor [1] to replace the "Edit in ..." hack. If what you are
saying is correct and "Edit in..." no longer works on 10.6 then we may
want to look into this. (And when I say "we", I don't mean "me"
because I hardly ever use this functionality so I'll probably find it
more fun to work on something else. ;-)

By the way, I have ordered 10.6 and will be installing it in the weeks
to come (no promises as to when since I strongly dislike installing a
new OS). Until then, I can't be of much help with 10.6 issues --
anybody with 10.6 is kindly asked to help out with any problems that
arise. (Btw: Jiang, if you are reading this: did you get a chance to
look at the ATSUI rendering problem?)
