I can't reproduce -- I only get one line with "test script".  No idea
what's causing it on your end...what happens if you add the "-f" flag
to "mvim"?  Like this:

$ mvim -f -u ~/vimrc-test does-not-exist

Which shell are you using?  The default bash or something custom like zsh?
