Hi all - I recently ran into weirdness with my javascript syntax highlighting (other langs look fine). It seemed to "just happen"... probably with a recent plugin update (I use Vundle to manage plugins)... but I haven't had any luck tracking things down after rolling back and / or uninstalling plugins.
Here's what I'm seeing: Running my `synstack` helper (see: https://github.com/tangledhelix/dotfiles/blob/master/vim/plugin/synstack.vim) against select lines of js gives me unexpected results... object property names, function arguments, globals (ex: require() ) are not identified as they once were. By "not identified" I mean: nothing is returned --> [] vs. ['javaScriptFunction'], etc. Uninstalling the syntax plugin I use for javascript has zero impact on highlighting (I use: https://github.com/pangloss/vim-javascript ). I checked :scriptnames to confirm the script is running / not running as appropriate. I tried manually setting the filetype and syntax modes.. no change. :version yields VIM - Vi IMproved 7.4 (2013 Aug 10, compiled Dec 13 2013 15:28:35) MacOS X (unix) version Included patches: 1-52 Compiled by Homebrew (i'm running the most recent rev - patches 1-258 on my laptop and seeing the same issue) So, i'm stumped... anyone have any tips on how to narrow this down a bit more? thanks in advance! -matt -- -- You received this message from the "vim_mac" maillist.
