Just type it with a Firefox window open and your cursor not inside some text box on the webpage. The moment you type the : you should see it appear at the bottom of the window, and the rest of the command you type will appear there after it as you continue. When you have finished, press Enter, and you should have your menus and toolbars back. From there, of course, you can access the Extensions/Add Ons item to uninstall it. I think that's how it'll work. I did the same thing a while back, but am just working from memory now, not actually trying it.
