Not in standard Vim, but you might be interested in Vince Negri's 
conceal/cursorbind patch (nonstandard). There's a link to a version of 
it for Vim 7.0.035 at http://vince.negri.googlepages.com/ -- I don't 
know if it applies cleanly to current 7.2 (I don't think it does). See
