First, you should post vim-latex questions on the vim-latex list:

Next, you should go to:

        :help latex-compiling

and

        :help Tex_GotoError

As discussed there, you will only be brought to the first error if 
Tex_GotoError is set to 1 (which is it's default).

I also encourage you to read this:

which describes problems that Vim (in general) can have with error 
messages formatted by LaTeX.
