Remember, there are people reading this list all over the world, so if
you post a question and nobody answers, it may mean that no one knowing
the answer is online and/or that the person(s) knowing the exact answer
has just gone to sleep. If after 24 hours you still haven't got an
answer, then probaby no one knew the exact answer, unless maybe the
person(s) knowing the answer have gone away from the computer for a
longer period for some reason (such as a public holiday of _their_
country going out with the kids).
In this case, yes, it would be possible to place the current working
directory on a custom text-style tabline (which would require the 'e'
flag to be absent from 'guioptions' in addition to setting 'tabline' and
'showtabline', if you wanted it not only in Console Vim but also in gvim).
Alternately, you could place the current directory (which can be a local
directory) for each window on that window's status line by means of a
custom 'statusline' setting.
In either case you would use %{getcwd()} somewhere in your custom
tabline or your custom statusline.
Best regards,
Tony.
