I'd like to customize the titlebar in Gvim, but I want to keep the feature where Gvim abbreviates the path of the file I'm currently editing.
For example, if I'm editing /home/myself/source/some/long/directory/path/MyFile.txt, the titlebar shows: MyFile.txt (/home/myself/../directory/path) in the titlebar, and I want to keep that in the titlebar. Does anyone know how Gvim does this? I will probably resort to using a regex, but I wanted to see if there was a built-in function that I'm missing. I've checked in the :help functions documentation, and the closest thing I could find was the "simplify()" function, but that's not what I'm looking for.
