Bill When you say "customisation preferences" - i take it that is Edit--Preferences. All i have is a blank AbiWord.Profile. I changed Units, screen colour and unchecked splash screen then exited - went back into Abiword and the changes had been set. Copying the section into there doesn't seem to save. I'm not doing something right!
