I'm sorry, I think I wasn't very clear. What I would like is that vim
uses the locking mechanism of the operating system, and not its own
locking mechanism.

This way multiple users on a system can share one file while using
different text editors.

I known people can still ignore the lock.

And I was curious if this will ever be part of vim. And the reason why
if this won't by part of vim.
