Greetings to everyone:

I apologize for this very newbie question. I recently discovered vim and I have
been very impressed with it, and I'm still trying to learn about all of its
functions.

I'm having a problem with inserting the percent character ('%'). I understand
it's a motion character, and the manual says to do CTL-V to get vim to ignore
its special meaning. However, it's not working for me. After I insert '%" (even
using CTL-V), the text get highligthed, and then it becomes invisible to LateX.
Anything else I should be doing?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Pedro
