Just a note here: text-objects are a vim add-on and aren't in classic vi. And even the quotation text-objects are fairly new (added in 7.0 I believe, as I believe I was the one to suggest their addition to 6.2[1] :) I'm repeatedly thankful to whomever implemented them! Additionally, most of the "Vim vs. vi" differences are consolidated in :help vi_diff.txt though there are references elsewhere in the docs.
