Well, your last yank is stored in the 0 ("zero", not "oh") 
register, so you can paste your previously yanked content with

   "0p

even if you've tromped on your scratch register with intermediate 
deletes.

If you remember before you delete, you can also force the delete 
to go to the black-hole register:

   "_dd

but if you can remember that consistently, you're more together 
mentally than I. ;-)
