I'm using the versions that are in the Ubuntu repositories...so 7.1 on Ubuntu 8.04 and 7.2 on Ubuntu 8.10. The one that works the way I want it to is version 7.1 on Ubuntu 8.04. So since you say you get the same behavior using 7.2 on Debian, perhaps its some quirk with Ubuntu....?
