Works for me. (Clicking on any line of the directory window just moves
the cursor to there.) Even double-clicking only selects the filename
here. FWIW, I'm using gvim 7.2.239 with Huge features and GTK2/Gnome2
GUI; my $VIMRUNTIME/plugin/netrwPlugin.vim is v135 dated Aug 10, 2008
and I have no other (something)/plugin/netrwPlugin.vim as shown by the
":scriptnames" command. I have the usual other netrw scripts in
autoload/ and syntax/

What answer do get, with the current window being a directory window,
when you issue the command

        :verbose map <LeftMouse>

? Here, gvim answers "No mapping found".
