:set ignorecase :set infercase :set completeopt=longest,menuone I have tab bound to omni completion with ^x^o. Any time I complete anything that has matches that are both upper and lower case, vim deletes everything I've typed up to that point. For example, I type beginning_of_func, hit ^x^o, and there are matches for beginning_of_func_a and Beginning_of_func_b, then vim deletes everything back to before I typed beginning_of_func.
