Thanks for the report (I think you are saying that the RTE still lingers even if disabled after having once enabled it). I am not going to try your experiment because I did hear a vague suggestion that once enabled, that disabling the RTE actually configures the normal wikitext edit box to open first, with an option to choose the RTE. That could be an unfounded rumour, or it might just be a caching issue, but it's not relevant to whether the RTE should apply to the whole wiki. It seems obvious that a person who is not comfortable when editing wikitext should not be editing a tip on Vim, but that won't be clear to non-Vim users, and I'm not going to approach Wikia without evidence of a consensus from several people that the RTE should be removed.
