This is indeed a very useful script! I especially appreciate the ability
to set the 'filetype' for the notes files with the g:notesFileType
option. The help file gives 'wiki' as an example. For those who need a
more flexible highlighting capability, I would suggest 'txtfmt', which
provides arbitrary, rtf-style highlighting: bold, underline, italic,
etc..., as well as configurable fg and bg colors. This is precisely the
sort of note-taking/journaling system for which Txtfmt was designed.
