Well, <End> is a single key press (which applies also if you want to add something after the closing bracket or quote on the _same_ line); but some hardcore self-styled touch-typists will tell you (they've told me time and again) that they are proud of typing as if manacles held their hands constantly over asdf and jkl; (for QWERTY) or over qsdf and jklm (for AZERTY), that for them, arrow keys could just as well not exist, and that anyone who uses them, the numeric keypad, the mouse, or an Esc key which hasn't been moved to the key which has "Caps Lock" printed on it, isn't a typist (or a Vimmer) worth his salt. To each his own I'd say. (And if I dare write this kind of caustic irony, it may mean I'm out of sleep. Don't pay too much attention.) Note that the mappings which have been given elsewhere in this thread can be generalized to any characters going in pairs, but that one of them has a problem for the kind of text where you would use both 'single quotes' and apostrophes as in ordinary (English, French, Italian, etc.) text (as opposed to program source), and another one has a problem for Vim script, where there exist both "double-quoted strings" and "comments. Also for the kind of program languages where \" can be used inside a double-quoted string to mean a literal double quote character.
