Thanks Chip.
I have made my own filetype.vim and it works when I put it into my
$HOME/.vim
but my problem is that the plugin is in another place.
Basically in my .vimrc the first lines is:

let $TDVIMROOT="/opt/TDVim"
" Set runtime paths
set runtimepath=$TDVIMROOT,$VIMRUNTIME

In /opt/TDVim I copy the same filetype.vim used in my HOME and delete the
one in $HOME/.vim. But now it doesn't work.
So basically when using the filetype from /opt/TDVim, even with a correct
runtimepath it doesn't work.
I have also tried setting the runtime path as:
set runtimepath=$VIMRUNTIME,$TDVIMROOT

but is also not working.
Any ideas???
thx
