Hi,

in my .vimrc I set smartcase on.

In my file I have (for example) the following words

    Uppercase
    uppercase
    UPPERCASE

Doing a

    :s/uppercase/frankenstein/g

produces

    frankenstein
    frankenstein
    frankenstein

then. Emacs (sorry for mention that name ;) does this instead

    Frankenstein
    frankenstein
    FRANKENSTEIN

, which is not too seldom cases the more clever way to do it
(at least while programming).

Would it be a not too blasphemic ;) wish to ask, how I can
vim act like Emacs (in this one and only case) ???

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!
