Hi,

Well, I know this must've been asked 1001 times but I'm a bit lost yet. I'm
sorry if I bother someone with the question at first or with my bad English.

I'd like to get auto completion (http://tinyurl.com/c6c6y not just with the
hints
but with the comments and the balloon tips) while programing, mainly in php but
if I
could do it in more languages much better. What I've already found is than using
<Ctrl-x><Ctrl-o> gives me an interesting menu who is almost always not related
to
the completion I expected, also I don't know how to make it work with any other
function/method who don't belong natively to php, such as my own functions or
the
ones who comes with the framework I work with (cakephp). I've seen that the
omni-completion variates according the language as well, I found much more close
from what I want the python one, it opens a preview window where I can see in
detail
what the function does, although it doesn't provide the balloon tips.

The first link goes to the intellisense vim page, who is the plug-in closest to
the
features I want, unfortunately it doesn't work on a Unix like system so I won't
be
able to use it.

I also have tried with eclim (eclim.org) but the fact that I have to run an
eclipse
instance don't make me really happy.

Any hint is welcome.

Cheers
