Thanks. The Droid Sans Mono font is the best font that I've found so far, but it still leaves some to be desired. For one thing, despite the name it is not a sans-serif font. Also, being mono it is way to wide for thin characters and has no kerning, that just looks terrible. I suppose what I need is a thin (will be a compromise on the M an W) sans-serif mono font with kerning modern-looking glyphs. Now that I have identified the keywords I'll get to googling this a well.
