As title, I've set $HOME in my .vimrc, but when I try to open the file under
cursor on the line such as '~/doc/foo.pdf', vim can't run the app with the
file with correct path, apps on windows usually don't support the '~' in path
name, so I guess vim on windows doesn't expand '~' correctly.
If it makes you feel better, ~/foo.pdf didn't work under Linux, either.
However, I've put v137b of netrw on my website; please try it.

Thank you! I will have a try, I remember that I've been using a modified version
by me, maybe it's the reason why it works for me.
btw, when will it be included in the offical vim?
I'm afraid that that is somewhat arbitrary -- you can see from netrw's
history some dates associated with previous releases. When I release
v137, Bram will put it on the ftp site and the mercurial repository;
however, it'll never appear in the 7.2 release. That will eventually
occur when 7.3 is released. I generally collect bugs&fixes and when a
quiet period ensues when I have all outstanding issues addressed, I
generally then release it to Bram.
