BTW: I noticed some unexpected behaviour when writing savesigns.vba.
Is this behaviour a feature or a bug?
:redir => a | sil sign list | redir end
(this errors "E155: Unknown sign: |")
so one has to wrap this command into
:redir => a | exe 'sil sign list' | redir end
Don't know if its a bug, but it is documented.
From ":help :sign"
[quote]
Note that the ":sign" command cannot be followed by another command or a
comment. If you do need that, use the |:execute| command.

OTOH, the :sign command is not mentioned under |:bar| where supposedly
all ex-commands which regard a following | as part as their arguments
are documented. (Documentation bug in cmdline.txt ?)
Best regards,
Tony.
