hi,

can i customize the vim fold indicator (when fold is 'closed') to go just to the leftmost non-whitespace char rather than all the way to the
left margin?
that is, if i have 3 subsections of text like:

|against left margin
| somewhat indented subtitle 1
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2
| somewhat indented subtitle 2
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2
| somewhat indented subtitle 3
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2

and then i fold the middle subsection, i'd like to see this:

|against left margin
| somewhat indented subtitle 1
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2
| +-- 3 lines: somewhat indented subtitle 2--------------
| somewhat indented subtitle 3
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2

but instead i see this:

|against left margin
| somewhat indented subtitle 1
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2
|+-- 3 lines: somewhat indented subtitle 2----------------
| somewhat indented subtitle 3
| more indented line 1
| more indented line 2

which disrupts the outline's indentation. is there a way to configure
vim to represent the fold in a way that respects the outline?

vim rocks,
john
