Please try the latest Align/AlignMaps package at
http://mysite.verizon.net/astronaut/vim/index.html#ALIGN . If that
doesn't fix the problem for you, then please send me a snippet of code
that evokes the problem (and let me know where the cursor was when you
invoked \afnc).
