I added a link to that page as well. No. Keep it. I added a Readme.md.
The issue with the top-level Readme is that it'll cause conflicts unless
you use different runtimepath (which is proposed by me using
vim-addon-manager anyway)

I contacted github to allow having different README names. No reply yet.
