Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. You've misunderstood the question. I
want to tab through or tab-expand after typing the first few letters
of a file in my path. I want to type something like :find ba[TAB] and
have it expand the name to match a file somewhere in my path (or give
me a list or cycle through options or whatever).

I don't care whether I have to use :find or :sfind or :split or :edit.
I just don't want to have to (a) type full file names, or (b) qualify
paths when opening files : )
