No, I've tried removing the paths with space in $PATH, still not work.
I did have it work to complete local files at least. It doesn't check
the matches to be executable.
Can you try a few different values for $PATH to see what works and what
doesn't? Perhaps it only works with one entry?
Even with one entry, !cmd completion doesn't work. File/dir completion
always works well, but cmd completion not at all.
