So, I read this guide, and did as it said: http://myles.eftos.id.au/blog/2010/08/13/making-the-osx-terminalapp-work-properly/
Thrilled with the result, I have to say. Since I have a magic trackpad I can use scroll and select/copy in vim using gestures. Brillant. I was wondering if there was any support in vim for extended gestures, like the chrome gesture support (https://chrome.google.com/extensions/ detail/lfkgmnnajiljnolcgolmmgnecgldgeld?hl=en). I found a few references to things like this on the web, but it's pretty tricky because many gesture libraries have vim config embedded (eg. // vim:set ts=4 sw=4 ai et), which fudges the search results. I know this is something of a niche interest (possibly limited exclusively to osx macbook or touchpad owners...), but I'd love to be able to bind, for example, a three finger swipe to :next, :prev or a vertical four finger swipe to :w / :wq (I'm forever leaving my vim window without saving and then having to click to get focus and then jump back to the keyboard to save, then back to the pad to switch focus again). Has anyone seen / heard about gesture support in vim? I know this isn't the dev list (I'll jump over there if nothing comes up), but does anyone what's involved in writing a plugin for vim? It might be worth just writing one for this if nothing exists already... ~ D. -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist. Do not top-post!
